SAFER FOUNDATION QUAD CITIES
For nearly 50 years, Safer Foundation has been eliminating barriers to successful reentry for individuals with arrest and conviction records in the Quad Cities. With offices in both Rock Island and Scott Counties, Safer helps individuals on either side of the river build the life that they desire.
A Holistic Approach
Safer provides a full range of employment services, including job readiness training, career exploration, resume building, interview preparation, and employment placement. In fact, Safer partners with more than 40 area employers who are ready and willing to hire Safer Foundation participants.
Case Managers
Case managers assist participants in developing their individual road to a better future – life skills development; employee/employer/coworker aptitude; resume building; interview preparation; exploring potential career pathways; linking them with training opportunities in high growth, in-demand industries; navigating financial aid options; and connecting participants and local employers who are hiring.
Educational Services
In addition to employment services, Safer offers educational support to individuals 16 years old and up - including high school equivalency preparation and testing, basic skills training, and certification opportunities. Safer also offers help to equip participants to be their own best advocate.
Clients + Community Partners
Through referrals to community partners, Safer can assist with access to shelter, food, transportation, substance abuse or mental health support, civil legal counsel, and an array of other supportive services to sustain progress towards securing and retaining employment.
At Safer Foundation we believe in the power of the individual and we believe in Second Chances.
If you or someone you know has an arrest or conviction record, is unemployed or underemployed, and serious about taking control of the future, let us walk beside you on this road to a better future.
