Safer Foundation CEO Victor Dickson Featured in Chicago Sun-Times Op-Ed

We are proud to share that our President & CEO, Victor Dickson, co-authored an op-ed in the Chicago Sun-Times titled “Expanding housing access to recently incarcerated Illinoisans is a worthwhile investment.” In the piece, published on May 7, 2025, Mr. Dickson joins José M. Muñoz, Executive Director of La Casa Norte, and Ahmadou Dramé, Director of the Illinois Justice Project, in advocating for the “Home for Good” legislation. Together, they emphasize the critical role of stable housing in reducing recidivism and supporting successful reentry.

The op-ed highlights that with housing support and access, individuals are less likely to return to prison, underscoring the importance of investing in programs that facilitate reentry and promote public safety.
